Welcome back to Ulster County Free Access News. We are currently monitoring the development of a system tracking east over the United States. The current Monday January, 20th, 2020 forecast is here and goes as followed. Today's tracks show the GFS American forecast back inline with the CMC, and ECMWF trends. The heavy snow and rain building Wednesday across the plains into the upper midwest will be met by a strong high pressure moving south through Ontario, and Quebec Regions reinforcing snow air into out area. The high pressure will keep the storms center heading east north east out to the Delmarva peninsula on Saturday.

Already this system will be a strong upper lever trough bringing heavy mostuire into the area. The system in the GFS shows weaker than the CMC and ECMWF forecast. The Sunday updates were bring the storm inland on the GFS bringing rain and warmer temperatures into New York. The last forecast is showing a stronger high over canada and the storm forming over the coast Sunday. We will be monitoring forecast and data as it  becomes available to us.
